Kick-AssKick-Ass is a superhero movie based on a Marvel comic book, and was released on April 16, 2010 in the United States.

It's the story of a teenager Dave Lizewski/Kick-Ass (Aaron Johnson) who decides he's going to take up being a real life superhero. His actions are publicized on the internet and inspire others. Kick-Ass attracts the attention of the fearless and highly-trained crime-fighting duo of Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) and his daughter, Hit-Girl (ChloĆ« Grace Moretz) who are on a mission to take down the criminal empire of local Mafioso, Frank D’Amico (Mark Strong).

The movie was directed by Matthew Vaughn, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jane Goldman. The comic was written by Mark Millar and illustrated by John Romita, Jr.
